Last of the Summer Climbs

A fine Autumnal morning greeted 20 Lune RCC and other local riders at Bull Beck picnic site for the inaugural “Last of the Summer Climbs” Reliability Ride.

A younger Sibling to The Coal Road Challenge. Both rides combining to bookend the cycling season.

The ride is 57 miles and takes in one of the longest climbs in the area of Bowland Knotts before returning through the Trough of Bowland, Boundary Hill and Jubilee Towers. Riders were greeted at the finish by Les Lavercombe with a welcome and well earned bottle of beer, consumed as riders relived the ride and agreed that they would return next year as the club looks to make this an annual event
