START Bull Beck Picnic Site A683 East of Caton. (running total miles) Follow A683 for 3 miles, TAKE CARE turn right onto B6480 sp Bentham. Continue to High Bentham, 0.5 mile after end of village, uphill, turn left, (sp 2.5 miles Ingleton) continue to Ingleton. Cross A65 TAKE CARE to B6255 (sp Hawes, White Scar Cave) Continue to Ribble Head and Hawes. (32 miles) At Hawes left A648 (sp Sedbergh) to Garsdale Head. You must STOP at the CONTROL and give your number After CONTROL 0.5 miles, left onto narrow lane (sp Garsdale Station). Climb over Coal Road to Dent Station. Steep descent, TAKE CARE to T jnc at Cowgill. Turn right (sp Dent) to Dent village (48 miles) toilets on right. Continue through Dent for 1 mile. Turn left onto narrow lane (sp Gawtrop, Barbon). Left again (sp Barbon) Climb over to Barbondale after slight climb turn left (sp Casterton, Kirkby Lonsdale) Cross open fell to next jnc. Diagonally right over bridge, sp Casterton, Kirkby Lonsdale). Down grassy lane to T jnc. Left through Casterton to A65 at Devils Bridge. (58 miles) Right (sp Kendal) TAKE CARE crossing A65 and soon left (sp Carnforth) B6254. Climb Arkholme hill turn left drop down through Gressingham A683.Over the bridge stay on road and join T right onto Caton road stay on until Bull Beck( 67 miles) to finish.
