Club Committee

The Lune RCC Committee is a group of volunteer members who run the club on behalf of its members.  They regularly meet to discuss matters relating to the club and it’s membership.

Specific responsibilities of the Committee are to:

• Set Policies for the Club,
• Set the Club’s long-term objectives,
• Decide whether to undertake new projects or activities;
• Interpret and adapt policy when existing activities change;
• Ensure there are proper procedures for monitoring and evaluating provision and use of activities,
• Maintain democratic procedures and accountability,
• Ensure the Club keeps accurate and comprehensible accounts,
• Ensure all funds received for a specific purpose are spent as specified and itemised within the accounts.

After moving to near Lancaster there was only one club I was going to join. That is The Lune RCC. Having competed against and as teammates  in division teams the Lune have always been part of my life.  President Gordon once lent me his bike although I was in another club after trouble with mine in a race, That is the nature of our members.

Les Lavercombe social secretary age 60 ex triathlon/duathlon and road racer. Been organizing Races and events since 1991.

Long time member and racer. I oversee the design for our clothing as well as the garments chosen.
