Whether it’s because of racing, riding in a group, getting fit, socialising or exploring the menus of the area’s finest cafes, the Lune is a great club to join.

Joining the Lune RCC won’t break the bank. It is only £10 a year (1st or 2nd Claim). If you want to come along on our Sunday club rides, after three goes, it is also the right thing to do. Moreover, you’ll get to wear our iconic kit in the North West of England. What’s not to like?

Please note that all Lune RCC members and riders coming to ride with us must have a third party liability insurance such ones provided by British Cycling and the Cycling Touring Club.

Where do my subs go?

Lune RCC is affiliated to British Cycling, North Lancashire Time Trials Association and Lancs & Lakes SPOCO time trials and are a member of SACA (Salt Ayre Cyclist association). They enable club members to take part in competitions organised by these bodies also these affiliations give the club third party insurance to cover all our activities and allow us to have a say in the way cycling is organised and promoted nationally. 

At the end of the financial year, the treasurer of the club provides a financial report, which is available to all members.  This report shows the club’s spending and cost etc.

These includes:

• 10% discount at local participating Cycle shops in around Lancaster.

• The Presidents Summer garden BBB

• Support towards charity events organised by the Lune RCC

• Running events such as the Coal Road and last of the summer climbs reliability events

• Purchase of club clothing stock (limited range)

• Discounts on selected Club items

Why Ride with the Lune ? 

Club runs are a great way for cyclists to improve fitness , learn group riding skills and increase motivation . Many of our members have a broad knowledge of local roads so a ride with the Lune can take in some fantastic scenery and roads that you might not otherwise see.
